How to protect your neck in yoga | Dr. Natasha Mehta | PRNfitness - Yoga Video

In this video we will cover 4 neck postures to AVOID in yoga in order to prevent neck pain. I partnered with one of my favorite yoga instructors, Randi Lattimore (Instagram @randilattimore), to go through cues to consider in some common yoga poses. The neck postures to avoid are: 1. Extreme hyperextension 2. Chin jut 3. Axial loading/compression 4. Extreme flexion with rotation The corresponding poses we review to demonstrate the right and wrong way to protect your neck are: 1. Upward facing dog 2. Shalabhasana 3. Headstand 4. Shoulder stand I hope you enjoyed my first attempt at an educational video! Please comment, subscribe, and check out the blog at prnfitness.com!
