Side Shoulderstand Tutorial - Yoga Video

This yoga posture tutorial is focused on Side Shoulder Stand. This is a very unique yoga posture and somewhat challenging arm balance pose. It’s asymmetrical shape requires practicing this side shoulder stand yoga tutorial on both sides to remain in balance. Be sure to fully warm up the neck, side body, spine in all directions and core before you attempt this pose. Follow the steps in this very short yoga sequence in order to succeed in this intermediate yoga pose. Beginner yoga to advanced yoga practitioners can find some enjoyment in practicing this pose. As a beginner yoga practitioner straightening the legs and walking them to the side may be enough. Always work on your level Steps: 1. Left shoulder on the floor with the arm straight and pressing down. This is part of your foundation 2. Place the right hand flat or in front of your face with the elbow pointing up 3. straighten the legs 4. Reposition the left arm under the body so the fingers face back. The arm is flat and the weight is in the arm and shoulder 5. Walk the feet to the right as far as you can 6. Engage the right side of the body and lift the right leg up straight out to the side.
