Stand in Tadasana (Mountain Pose) with your feet hip-width apart and arms by your sides.
Shift your weight onto your left foot, grounding through all four corners of the foot and engaging the left thigh muscles.
Inhale deeply, then exhale as you lift your right knee towards your chest, holding your right big toe with the first two fingers and thumb of your right hand.
Extend your right leg forward, keeping the knee as straight as possible, while maintaining balance. If needed, you can keep the knee slightly bent.
Engage your core muscles and keep your left hand on your left hip for stability. Ensure your standing leg is strong and straight.
Keep your spine tall and chest open, and direct your gaze (drishti) forward at a fixed point for balance.
Breathe steadily and hold the pose for 3-5 breaths, maintaining even weight distribution on the standing foot.
To exit, exhale as you gently release the right foot, bend the knee, and lower the foot back to the floor, returning to Tadasana before switching sides.
