Instructions

This is a pose I really struggled with. It's difficult to maintain balance while doing a pretty extreme stretch. And add alignment!? That's a whole different story.

But

With this simple technique you'll start to establish a foundation in the pose that you'll be able to build on.

Standing hand to big to pose or Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana is great pose to release hamstring tension, while improving posture, and toning the muscles of the leg, hips and abdomen. The twisted variation can free up tension in the IT band (ilio-tibial band) and mobilize the thoracic spine, while strengthening the core.

However, both of these poses are extremely difficult to master standing while maintaining the alginmenent needed to access the benefits.

Let me know in the comments section if you were able to nail the tadasana line with this prop.

Hope you enjoy,

Love Tim
