What we collect
- Forms you send us (claim a listing, contact, join, waitlists): your name, email, and what you write. We use it to reply and to review claims.
- Questions you send to a studio or teacher: your name, email and message are shared with that studio or teacher so they can reply. If they haven’t joined yoga.org yet, we hold your message and pass it on when they do.
- Donations: payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Location: we use your approximate location (from your network, via Cloudflare) to show studios and classes near you. Precise location is used only if you tap “Use my location” in your browser.
- Usage data: pages visited, device and browser type, and referrers, through Google Analytics.
- Ads: we show Google AdSense ads on some pages. Google may use cookies to show and measure ads. Manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
- On your device: a few preferences are saved in your browser, like a remembered choice or membership state.
How we use it
To run the site, answer you, process donations and claims, keep the site secure, and understand what is useful so we can keep yoga free. We do not sell your personal information.
Who handles it for us
Cloudflare (hosting, security, email delivery), Stripe (donations), Google (analytics and ads), and video providers such as YouTube when you play an embedded video. Each has its own privacy policy.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete what you sent us by writing to support@yoga.org. You can block cookies in your browser and unsubscribe from any email we send.
Children
yoga.org is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If this page changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top.
