The main sites of kapha are the chest, head & neck, the joints, the stomach and fatty adipose tissue. And, of all the sites, the chest is considered to be the most important site for kapha dosha.

Charaka mentions that even though diseases of kapha are innumerable, the most common manifestation of kapha imbalances are listed as 20 conditions.
