will sometimes do things in life where we do have a positive outcome I went to the gym and I felt great and yet we don't go again the next day so what's missing why not if there is that pavlovian reinforcement that is not sufficient to shape your behavior so this is where intentional binding comes into play choosing between a lot of options is the other thing that increases intentional binding and there's a third thing which is making a prediction it doesn't matter what the prediction is but in that process of making a choice CH if you stop and predict the outcomes that process of making a prediction whether that prediction is right or wrong seems to increase intentional binding so once again what I see between High performers and low performers is low performers tend to not really think too much about the consequences of their actions in fact if you're like me you avoid making predictions you try very hard to not think about what the consequences of your actions are
