Bringing meditation into your morning routine can aid in mental focus and clarity, as well as help you to manage stressors more effectively throughout the day. Not only that, but meditation can also enhance your mood by increasing the production of neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, which are associated with feelings of happiness and well-being!

This is your opportunity to expand your awareness and make space for self-care.

Allow yourself to slip into exquisite stillness.

There is nothing like feeling regulated and refreshed for the day ahead!

Transcript

Good morning. Welcome to Yoga with Adriene. I'm Adriene, and this is sweet Benji. And we have a little meditation for you to start your day off
with some good awareness. Let's get started. All right. Let's come into a comfortable seat. Feel free to sit up on a blanket if that feels supportive. Make sure you're nice and warm. And when you're ready, we will soften the gaze
or close your eyes. Sit up nice and tall and start to just bring a quiet attention inward. Nothing fancy here. Just coming into a presence, really. As we begin the day. And as we come together. Drawing our attention inward. Just start to notice your breath. You don't really have to change it. If it changes or you feel inspired
to deepen the breath already. Great. Follow that pull. But otherwise, just noticing the quality of the breath. The rhythm. And then just keep breathing naturally for now. We鈥檒l, allow the palms to rest gently on the tops of the knees or the thighs, wherever feels comfortable. Gently allow yourself to slip into an exquisite stillness. And then we'll expand our awareness from inward. Out to the sounds. Any sounds that we may hear. In the space in which we are sitting. Or outside. Noticing your sound track. The soundscape this morning. Now transitioning back inward. Bringing your awareness
to the sensations of your body. As you maybe make small adjustments here. Maybe lifting the heart,
relaxing the shoulders down. Softening through the fingers, the toes relaxing through your jaw. Softening
and relaxing the skin of the forehead. And gently aligning your head over your heart and your heart over the pelvis. And just slowly expanding your awareness of how you're feeling and how you're sitting today. And stay with it. Wherever you are. Bringing your attention now from this inward landscape back out. Noticing the quality of air in the room. Or if you're practicing outside,
is there a breeze? Noticing how it feels on your skin. And then bringing that awareness, that attention back in one last time. This time we'll bring the palms together. In a mood here at the heart, palm to palm. This prayer position. And drawing our attention
inward once again. And for this last we,
you might consider drawing your chin down. Bowing the head toward the heart. May we also take this as an opportunity? To tap into a little gratitude for our awareness. The ability
to move from the external to the internal and back and forth like a pendulum. Both beautiful
and important and valuable. And as you rest here now, in this moment,
your attention drawing inward. Let's take a deep breath in together. a slow breath out together. Gratitude for the breath. As we breathe in. And as we breathe out. Again. Breathe in gratitude for the body. Breathe out. And the last breath here. Inhale in deeply gratitude for the heart. Spirit and breathe out. Release the mudra, palms
come back to the knees or the thighs wherever feels comfortable. Lift the chin. Take one last beat here before you're ready to open your eyes. If you want to. There's a moment here where you can set
an intention for your day. Whether you whisper it quietly to yourself
or take a moment to write it down. Thank you so much for joining me. Have a beautiful day
and I'll see you soon. Namaste.
