Transcript

Hi everyone, and welcome to Yoga
with Adriene! I'm Adriene, this is sweet Benji. He just sighed. He's
ready for this meditation. I hope you are too. This is a little ditty that I find perfect for those moments
when you are in a threshold, you're like in a transition or
you're craving when you want to manifest, turning the page into the next season
or chapter of your life. So hop into something
comfy and let's get started. Alrighty, my sweet friends. Let's begin
by coming into a comfortable seat. So take your time getting there. I'm sitting up on a little bolster to help
me get a little bit of lift in the hips. To help me sit up tall through the spine. You can also do this seated in a chair. Or sure, you can
lie comfortably on the ground for this. Why not? So come into a comfortable position where you can get the spine long. And let's just take a moment
to breathe together. Landing here in this moment
so nice and easy. You just take a deep breath in. And as you exhale, relax your shoulders. Wherever you are. And again, inhale in. And one more time with the exhale actively inviting the shoulders to relax. And on the third one inhale in deeply. Maybe we sit out here with a little sound. And we have landed landing here together. Option to close the eyes here
if you feel comfortable. You can also just soften your gaze. This meditation, of course, being an opportunity, a time for you to turn inward. So, with the eyes soft or closed, shoulders relaxed, let's take a couple of quiet moments here. Individually to observe the breath. Just notice what is it like? What does it feel like in your body today? And perhaps noticing
where you feel your breath in your body as you gently inhale and exhale. You can find what feels good
with the hands and the arms, but perhaps coming into a position
where you're not holding or gripping. So allowing the elbows to relax, the palms to be soft. Just noticing the breath here. Where? In your body do you feel the inhale and exhale? And maybe you don't feel it in the body
at all. That's okay. And now drawing your attention down to your sitz bones. If you're seated. And if you chose to lie down, maybe you'll
just notice the parts of your body that are touching the earth and allowing this area to grow roots. Down into the earth. And from this root,
these roots, we'll just slowly, without making any big movements, think more subtle body here
as we slowly begin to invite a little more in length
through the side body through the spine. Making any small adjustments as needed to feel that rootedness. And then that length. And then we'll turn inward, back to noticing the breath. As we embrace the theme of turning the page, maybe coming to an ending. Maybe you're at a threshold. Or you're wanting to manifest a new beginning. Allowing this time to be about connecting deeply with yourself. And connecting deeply with source, whatever that means to you. Whatever that means for you. Whether it's specific
energy or just nature. Continue to allow yourself to slip. Into stillness. Allowing your breath to be slow and easy. We'll take a moment now to embrace this stillness. So if you're really feeling it,
you can lean more into the stillness. And if you're finding it hard to be still, let's take a moment to consciously see if we can embrace the stillness
for simply what it is. And now, moving to meditate on the idea or the opportunity to embrace change. Inevitable change. To embrace darkness. Inevitable darkness. Moving from stillness and change and darkness to perhaps embracing. This idea of reflection. In the threshold of turning the page. There can be a lot of uncertainty. And that can be really scary. But it can also bring curiosity. Curiosity about possibilities. It can be scary to be in the uncertainty, but it can also be exciting to think about the abundance of potential possibilities. Continue to allow your breath to be soft and easy. Coming back to that, noticing. Seeing if your breath moves any part of your body
here. The chest,
the belly, the shoulders, the ribs. Now, slowly allow yourself. To imagine. Use your creative mind to imagine. You are out in nature. With the source. And in this nature. There's a little trail. And if it feels all right for you. Maybe you begin to stroll. Down that trail. Taking in all the beautiful nature, the sounds, the air. And the trail leads you to a beautiful, pure water running stream. The trail takes you to this beautiful, pure water running stream. And as you meet and greet this stream. You ask yourself if there's anything that you can release as you move across this threshold. As you turn the page. And if you like, you can. Kneel down or squat down or bend over and take that thing or those things and dip them in the water. Dip them in the pure stream. Allowing it to be washed, cleansed, and maybe even released. Before you leave the stream
or the image of this stream. Maybe you take a deep breath in. And a long exhale out. And then your choice. You can slowly walk back up the trail. Or you can just slowly allow the image view in nature. To melt away. And I will invite us
to bring our palms together slowly. Thumbs to your heart space. Or, if you prefer, you can bring your palms flat to your
your chest, your heart space. Here. Choosing whatever hand placement that feels best for you in this moment. We'll finish this lovely meditation together. By taking a deep breath in. And a long breath out. Giving a little bit or a lot of our grip or our control. Back to source. Back to the universe. As we step into this new chapter. It's not to say
that you won't be active in this next chapter,
but it's just an invitation to remember what it can feel like, how supportive and potentially empowering
it can be to surrender just a little. Let's take a final inhale in together. And a final exhale out. Bowing the head to the heart. Thank you so much for sharing
this meditation in your time with me. Take care. Namaste.
