Begin in a kneeling position on your yoga mat, sitting back on your heels. Take a few deep breaths to center yourself.
Interlace your fingers and place your forearms on the mat, creating a triangle shape with your elbows shoulder-width apart. Press your forearms firmly into the mat.
Gently place the crown of your head on the mat between your hands, ensuring that the back of your head is cradled by your palms.
Engage your shoulders by pressing them away from your ears and draw your shoulder blades down your back to stabilize your upper body.
Tuck your toes under and lift your knees off the ground, walking your feet closer to your head until your hips are aligned over your shoulders.
Engage your core muscles, and with control, lift your feet off the ground, extending your legs vertically towards the ceiling. Keep your legs together and toes pointed.
Breathe deeply and steadily, maintaining your balance and focus. Your gaze (drishti) can be softly directed at a point on the floor.
To exit the pose, slowly lower your legs back to the mat, bending your knees if necessary. Rest in Child's Pose for a few breaths to relax and release any tension.
