How to
- Begin in a standing forward fold (Uttanasana) with feet hip-width apart, grounding evenly through both feet.
- Place your fingertips on the floor or on blocks in front of you, ensuring your spine remains long and your shoulders are relaxed away from your ears.
- Shift your weight onto your left foot, engage your left thigh, and activate your core for stability.
- Inhale deeply, and as you exhale, lift your right leg straight back and up, keeping your hips squared to the floor.
- Keep your standing leg strong and engaged, and flex the foot of your raised leg to engage the muscles of your right leg.
- Direct your gaze (drishti) slightly forward or to the floor to maintain balance.
