How to
- Begin in Tadasana (Mountain Pose) with feet hip-width apart.
- Shift your weight onto your left foot, rooting firmly into the ground.
- Inhale and lift your right leg straight back, hinging at the hips and keeping your body parallel to the ground.
- Extend your arms forward alongside your ears, palms facing each other, or place them in prayer position at your chest.
- Ensure your standing leg is strong and engaged, with the knee slightly bent to avoid locking.
- Keep your hips squared to the floor and your core engaged to maintain balance.
- Gaze softly at a point on the floor a few feet in front of you for stability.
- To exit, inhale and slowly rise back to Tadasana, bringing your right leg down to meet your left.
