this is where the cameras supposed to be but Oliver took over the chair okay okay thanks thanks for making room for us to do our yoga video today we're doing we stressed it out which is camel pose I love this pose it feels so good we'll definitely need some variations because it's not usually completely accessible to everyone so I don't understand what he's saying it's only three stars out of 60 guys I totally do not trust bks iyengar x' assessment of difficulty level I think that difficulty level is just so personal based on your body shape your experience level what else you do with your time there are so many different factors that are going to determine whether or not you find a pose easy I just think that we can't even listen to what he's saying in terms of if it's easy or not so do you guys want to keep caring if you know what he greats them I mean I guess I'll keep sharing cuz I'm trying to share everything that he says about each pose but anyways here's a preparation for camel pose booster asana and here's the bull pose quite a books like a square in this photo don't normally think of it that way but all right let's see technique he just says boost red means camel that's all the explanation about the name and everything technique kneel on the floor keeping a thighs and feet together hmm usually I tell people to do hips with distance because it's easier on your low back toes pointing back and resting on the floor also if this is not quite accessible for you you can tuck your toes under it's gonna lift your heels up higher so that you have less of a distance to reach back with your hands rest the palms on the hips stretch the thighs curve the spine back and extend the ribs exhale place the right palm over the right heel and the left palm over the left heel if possible place the palms on the soles of the feet if that's not possible place the hands on the heels I'm adding that press the feet with the palms throw the head back again let's not throw the head back let's just gently lift the chin throw the head back and push the spine towards the thighs which should be kept perpendicular to the floor push the spine towards the thighs push the spine towards the thighs what does that mean to you guys I'm not sure how to interpret that contract the buttocks and stretch the dorsal in the coccyx regions of the spine still further keeping the neck stretched back so maybe he means pressing the coccyx forward which is sort of towards the thighs let me know what you think about that how you interpret that remain in this position for about half a minute with normal breathing release the hands one by one and rest them on the hips so go back the same way you came in then sit on the floor and relax effects people with drooping shoulders and hunchbacks will benefit by this asana the whole spine is stretched back and is toned this pose can be tried conveniently by the elderly and even by persons with spinal injury hmm interesting I have to learn more about the spine to know what I think about that but it's interesting he says that cuz I wouldn't say this is the most accessible pose and in fact I would say grab your block if you have a block if you're not familiar with this pose already and let's try it out okay so according to him you have your toes untucked and your ankles together and your knees together so your feet totally together this is really different than how even I normally practice it I do hips distance apart let's just try it the way he says first the block is because if you can't reach your feet you put the block ideally to outside the feet or right inside the feet and you place your hand on the block instead of on the palms if you can't reach so that's just a little tip so first we press on the hips I think he had his hands printed up in the photo so rib cage a bit open his shoulders rolling back throwing the head back as he says or as I say lift the chin and then with the exhale put one hand down and the other hand down I'm seeing the hips forward this is a much more intense stretch than if you just put your hips your knees and your feet hips width distance which is what I prefer to do and tuck your toes in so in fact was pinching your low back to do it exactly how he said to do it do it this way just open your feet and knees hips width just tuck your toes under for more height and then you can reach down and reach to the heels you have a lot more space here this feels really good on the shoulders to me but it might feel like a lot so if it's too much to throw your head back just stay looking forward playing around here and like I said before you can put blocks so I just have one here but you'd ideally have two one for each foot you can go inside or outside and you can just put your hands on the blocks if you can't quite reach your heels then he says to just come out by sitting down and resting so ideally sitting on the heels or another option is to sit in between the heels or if you had your block here between your heels you could sit on the block so that's to stress the not camel pose try it out let me know what you think let me know if you think it's only three stars out of sixty and difficulty level I just don't agree with his assessment of difficulty level but drop me a comment and let me know what you think thanks for watching if you haven't yet and I'll talk to you tomorrow
