Instructions

Online yoga class setup for Zoom and recording in under 2 minutes in my small 1-bedroom apartment living room. I teach yoga on Zoom, and also use Quicktime on my Macbook pro to record. Quicktime provides better recording quality vs. Zoom, therefore I run both programs at the same time. I use the Logitech C920 webcam, Rode Wireless Go microphone, Neewer ring light and a soft box light. Links listed below.

this is my two minute yoga class setup when i teach morning yoga classes on zoom so first thing i do is i get out of bed and i live in a one bedroom apartment so i sleep in the living room and my son gets the bedroom so i make the bed to make sure everything is nice and tidy and then i grab a chair which is actually used as my tripod for my computer for the zoom setup i also grab a block because i need a little bit of height because my computer should be about waist height to get the best view of my yoga class so i grab my computer my webcam and my microphone and i set it up open my computer plug in the webcam and i open up zoom because that's where all the people are going to join me and i also open up quicktime because that's where i record it's better recording quality so then i'll plug in my microphone i use the rode wireless go i plugged that in through usb and same with my logitech c920 webcam it's also plugged in through usb make sure everything's plugged in good to go and my microphone actually just clips on to my sports bra and as long as the shirt's not on the microphone part i have no trouble with it i'll then lay out my yoga mat in the appropriate place so that it's seen from my camera on my computer and then i turn a bunch of lights on i've got one soft box light i had to but the bulb broke in the other so i have the one and then i also have a ring light that i'll pull over and put next to my computer and make it extra bright so i turn the ring light on i have a softbox light and i turn all the lights on in my apartment i'll then go over to my computer and make sure that the settings are set appropriately for both both quicktime and zoom i want to make sure that my usb audio device my microphone is on and my webcam is on and both look good so i give it a thumbs up and good to go so i'm ready to hit record and i'm ready to have all my people join me in my zoom [Music] class you
