Know Your VEDAS

In this practice

Key teachings

  • Vedas are eternal, divine knowledge, not of human origin, emanating directly from Almighty God.
  • Upanishads are human-authored documents by Rishis, interpreting a minute portion of Vedic knowledge, and are not part of the Vedas.
  • Authentic understanding of scriptures requires guidance from an 'acharya' (a master who has attained Samadhi).
  • Truth ('Upanishad') is knowledge received with firmness and faith from an authentic master, and that which always exists without disappearing.
  • Misinterpretations of Vedic concepts (e.g., Mahavakyas like 'Tat Tvam Asi' and 'Aham Brahmasmi') arise from a lack of fundamental Vedic knowledge and genuine teachers.

Namaste to all in this short audio we will understand what is meant by upanishad and also we will understand which are the authentic upanishads there are more than 108 upanishads today but very few of them out of this 108 are authentic opanishads authentic means those which are written by rishimunis and as I always tell in my videos that we have to listen any knowledge only from an acharya who has attained samadhi otherwise we will totally misunderstand what is written in the book for example bhagavad-gita when we do not have basic fundamental knowledge of Vedas when we read the Gita commented by a person who is not a samadish yogi we will misunderstand that SRI Krishna is almighty God whereas when we understand The Vedic philosophy and when we read the commentaries written by Rishi Muni then we will understand that no no SRI Krishna was a yogeshwar he was not almighty God so in this audio we will understand what is upanishad because many of the Neo vedantists are the modern advaithavadis they believe that upanishads are part of Vedas which is totally wrong upanishads have been written in the last five thousand to six thousand years only whereas Vedas are Eternal knowledge at the end of this creation every book written by any person whether it is a rishimuni or a human being will get destroyed end of this universe when the universe gets destroyed everything will get destroyed almighty God and His Vedas will not get destroyed so in the next creation again the knowledge of Vedas will emanate from almighty God this is the difference between Vedas and any other book of course upanishad means Upper Plus knee plus means truth means getting close to a master who has attained samadhi who is a Rishi who is a Muni who is a yogi so we when we go to the Lotus feet of an acharya and when we listen the truth means with firmness we have that faith we have a total faith on that acharya on the Shad when we listen it from anacharya that is called as upanishad so the truth already exists in fact SRI Krishna Maharaj he tells in Gita what is the definition of truth that which always exist that which will not disappear even for a minute fraction of a second that is called as truth so Vedas listening Vedic truth from anacharya is the definition of an upanishad and out of so many Rishi munis who have lived in this planet few rishibunis have written you know documented some knowledge what they have experienced what they have taught to their disciples in the form of upanishad so upanishads are not part of Vedas the the word is means Vedas by realization of Vedic knowledge a Rishi is teaching the knowledge to his disciple so Vedas are predominant Vedas are already existing and that already existing knowledge is released by The Rishi and then he gives that knowledge to the shisha so upanishads are not part of Vedas this has to be clearly understood the modern philosophers who are actually not philosophers who are actually self-styled God man we can say these people since they lacked an acharya in their life they lack an acharya who is a samadhist yogi they have totally misunderstood upanishads to be part of Vedas whereas when we read upanishad we can understand that everywhere Rishi is giving the instruction from Veda so Vedas are always Eternal by by that Rishi who wrote upanishad also he did tapasya he realized almighty God after attaining the title of an acharya title of a yogi Rishi Muni he gives the knowledge to the disciple so upanishads are not part of Vedas in fact many of the new vedantes have this misunderstanding that upanishad means Gyan Ganda Vedas means Karam Kanda no in Vedas there are four Vedas in the four Vedas there are three knowledge everything is in The Vedas knowledge is never gained unless it is given that is why Vedas are called Usha means that which is not of a human origin upanishads are of human origin upanishads have been written by Rishi munis Vedas are not written knowledge Vedas are realist knowledge Vedas are emanating directly from almighty God upanishads are written by rishimunish this is a fundamental difference which we have to understand and before understanding or reading any upanishad two things are definitely needed number one we should have fundamental knowledge of Vedas if we do not have fundamental knowledge of Vedas number two we can read upanishad books which are commented by Rishi munis only if we are reading open Nations which are commented by Ma PhD Sanskrit philosophers we will not be able to understand what is written in upanishad and there are so many self-styled godmen who call themselves a Swami as Rishi as Muni Etc we should be aware and we should try to understand the difference between a normal human being and a real rishimuni I have made several videos on who is a real rishimuni you can see those videos so now coming to the 11 authentic upanishads there are more than 108 upanishads today even there is upanishad that was surprised there is Operation called as Allah upanishad so we have to always understand the truth the truth is basically Vedas and Rishi who has written the upanishad based on The Vedas is also considered to be an authentic scripture so the 11 upanishads which are Authentication upanishad upanishad manduki upanishad A3 operation upanishad [Music] these are the 11 upanishads which are authentic authentic I mean these 11 authors they were great Rishi munis they documented the knowledge of Vedas in the form of upanishad in their books but the knowledge contained in the upanishads are very very very very very very very minute in comparison to the knowledge of The Vedas because Vedas are Eternal Vedas are directly from almighty God so Vedas contain infinite knowledge we cannot measure what the knowledge available in The Vedas so out of the knowledge of from The Vedas they have taken a very minute portion of one subject and then and explained in the upanishad similarly out of so much of knowledge one subject called yoga is explained in yoga darshan by patanjalimani after so much so many subject one subject called as prakriti is explained by Kapil Muni in his sankya darshan like that each and every rishimuni they try to explain a very small knowledge out of the infinite knowledge of The Vedas so even today also when we have to understand the real essence of upanishad we can understand only when we listen it from an acharya because for example the mahavakyas people say that there are four mahavakyas whereas these are not mahavakyas for example these are not called as mahavakyas these are part of upanishad for example is from it's a complete chapter which explains about almighty God which explains about samadhi out of the complete chapter one word is stolen by somebody and says I am almighty God you are almighty God out of the so many you know knowledge contained in in the chapter where the acharya his father is giving knowledge to the son only small portion is stolen by somebody and saying tatumasi you are that you are almighty God so everything is almighty God which is totally misguiding if everything is almighty God then why knowledge of The Vedas has to be given by God everything is not almighty God inside everything is almighty God inside you also God exists you are also Godly because inside you God exists is the real meaning of because of lack of Vedas knowledge tato Mercy is totally misinterpreted today similarly Alhambra Smith is totally missing I am absorbed in the samadhi I am observed in the god brahmasters me actually inner meaning for example somebody says I desire for almighty God if somebody says we are doing the Edge by to worship almighty God why am is hidden there so to understand the Sanskrit philosophy to understand the knowledge we have to always listen means you are also Godly inside you also that almighty God exists this is the knowledge given by Rishi because in the previous discussions rishias explain what is paramatma everything he has explained very clearly but only taking one sentences and saying you are that this is totally misguiding the public and that is why today the atheistic philosophy called as new vedantism has taken Virat swarup today and that is totally misguiding the public because we are believing that everything is God people say that okay this Idol is also God you're also God I can worship anything no we have to worship only almighty God please understand that we cannot worship anything we can respect everything we can respect everyone but that respect is different we have to always worship almighty God only so let us try to at least put some thoughts and seriousness in this philosophy to go back to Our Roots Our Roots are Vedas without Vedas knowledge studying upanishad or studying Gita Rama and Mahabharata we will totally be misguided that has to be clearly understood thank you so much namaste
