Transcript

three ways you can modify yoga poses if you have lower back pain the first is forward fold instead of doing it with the feet together and the legs straight this puts a lot of strain on the lower back if you have tight hamstrings separate your feet it could be hips width it could be wider and bend your knees as much as feels comfortable number two is Cobra pose instead of pushing yourself up as high as you can this creates a lot of compression in the lower back keep the chest lower bring the hands further back and focus on isolating the movement to the upper back so that you keep the tension out of the lower back number three is shias now a lot of people complain about feeling really uncomfortable when their body is flat in the mat like this so instead place a rolled up blanket or maybe a spare yoga mat if you have one underneath your knees this will take some of the stretch out of the hip flexes which may make it more comfortable for you
