Transcript

hello today's pose is called sage pose number a or three different names for it it is a twisting pose so you're going to be sitting straight and tall you're going to have one leg forward and flat toes pointing to the ceiling you have the other leg up and end close to your body now the idea is that you're going to twist towards the standing leg so you're going to twist this direction and then eventually wrap this arm back and around so it's a deep deep spinal twist now hopefully one day you can actually start binding the arm behind although this can cause a lot of compression in spine so you do have to work your way into it be careful with it you may find that you prefer to simply go forward into a rick standard sage fold or work your way this direction or if you want to twist towards that standing leg simply bend this leg and bring it under into a half lord of the fishes it does the same thing as the other pose it's just not as intense on this lower leg so this one is probably a better thing for beginners remember that you can always raise your hips by simply taking a block a blanket or any other secure prop this takes a little bit of the pressure off the hips until you're nice and open so again twisting around it feels really good and twisting into it try those different possibilities remember that the purpose is to twist that spine that lower spine open so if one position isn't quite effective for you then just simply try a different one you can always count email me or put a comment on YouTube and if you have any questions and I will be happy to help out however I can have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow bye
