Step your right foot forward between your hands, coming into a low lunge position with your right knee above your right ankle.
Place your right shoulder under your right thigh, bringing your right hand to the outside of your right foot, and plant your left hand shoulder-width apart on the mat.
Shift your weight forward onto your arms, engaging your core muscles, and begin to lift your right leg off the ground.
Extend your left leg straight back, keeping it parallel to the floor, and maintain a strong engagement through your core and arms.
Focus your gaze (drishti) slightly forward to maintain balance and alignment.
Hold the pose for several breaths, maintaining steady and calm breathing.
