Transcript

the pigeon pose is one of the best exercises for opening up your hips because it puts your hip into external rotation it targets your hip flexors your inner thigh muscles and your glute and when you do the active pigeon you can also strengthen the muscles and your hips but make sure that you never ever force your heel forward and your shin parallel like this because that can put too much pressure on your knee so instead what you can do is lift your hips up then move around towards your hip with your upper body bring your knee with you slide your knee to the side then return with your upper body forward and then slide the back leg back this way you're going to get all the stretch in your hip without putting too much pressure on your knee
