blessings and welcome back to the tools of the Priestess video series hello I'm Siana Sherman my pronouns are she her and in this video we are diving into archetypes so what is an archetype what does it mean an archetype the meaning of it is the original pattern an original pattern and archetypes are a dimension of the psyche and the psyche really is the totality of the human mind both conscious and unconscious so what happens with an archetype an archetypal energy an original pattern is that it's an expression that holds a lot of vital energy and hidden potential that wants to move and express itself into the world through US Carl Young the way that he often apply to archetypes is saying that the archetypes arise from and through the collective unconscious and then they speak to us at different times in our lives for Priestess archetypes is such an essential tool because Priestess is really in service to the language of the soul and what I mean by that is that the power of relating the story line of Our Lives knowing that we are Mythic beings and that the language of the Soul quickens and awakens through stories through archetypes through symbolism through the ways that expand imaginal intelligence when we come into relationship with these patterns of energy these original patterns of energy so to speak through an archetype it helps to shape Our Lives it gives us a deeper relationship ship so for example some archetypes that we could look at is the archetype of the Visionary the Visionary archetype it tends to be Forward Thinking big Universal Mind wants to look out to the greater whole for Collective care and really ask like how can this Visionary energy move through me how can I access it how can I be curious with Wonder and awe to explore it and move the archetypal power of the Visionary through me so that I look out and take care of the greater whole that's all around me the Visionary might be really interested in reform in Revolution in new evolutionary and Revolutionary Ways of doing things and ways of seeing things we could have the archetype of the nurturer that that starts to move through us and the way with archetypes is that different times in our lives have different needs and so these archetypal forces arise let's say that we're in a time in our life where we could really use more nurturing energy and become more of a nurturing presence for others then the nurturer archetype comes along and shows us what does it mean to really take care of ourselves to take care of the physical body the emotional body the mental all parts of the self to allow the nourishing forces to come through us and to become a nourishing agent for others the nurturer can help us to deepen in our relationships it takes care of ourselves but it also looks around and takes care care of others now every single archetype has this hidden potential that adds value to our lives and there's also of course Shadow sides to archetypes so let's say that we really go for the nurture and we forget about ourselves and we are just giving giving giving giving to everyone around us we could become depleted so there are understandings that the archetypal forces want to vitalize Revitalize ourselves give us something a little more to bring into the world and let these forces speak to us there are archetypes of the sage of opening up into the evolutionary expanded wisdom being that we are and sharing our wisdom there's archetypes of the Mystic of coming into deeper spiritual communion with all that we are of the Warrior of the Warrior s where we feel our bravery our courage or we summon it through the power of the archetype what change needs to happen through us to bring The Bravery the warrior the leader these energies through us maybe it's the lover or the sensuality of our being perhaps it's the Muse that's coming through us so that we become creatrix uh we become lit up with the creative energies and allow the inspiration to flow through us through our words our expression our painting our Artistry of life so there are archetypal forces that speak to us and through us at all these different times in our lives and again remember that they are patterns of energy that are longing to be expressed through us and to enter the world through the vessel that we are they awaken the imaginal intelligence they deepen us in our own soul connection and they add so much value to meaningful relationships in our lives and in the world and so welcome you to just keep diving in to these archetypal empowerments for you and ask
