Instructions

My recent book, Teaching Breathwork: Yoga Teachers Guide is the result of an inner exploration of breathwork over 20 years.

Breath, the silent teacher, whispers wisdom with each ebb and flow.

My second book, a love letter to yoga teachers, unfolds the inner poetry of pranayama. Years of practice have taught me that revelation never ceases - each inhale brings new understanding, each exhale releases deeper truths.

To my fellow guides on this journey: slow down, listen, watch, and feel. The breath speaks a language all its own, rich with insights waiting to be discovered.

Let us attune ourselves to this ancient rhythm, this dance of life within. For in the space between breaths, we find the essence of our practice and ourselves

pic alignment what can that actually mean well one of the things I was exploring in my book was literally standing in tasan in namaskar mudra and working at stacking my feet my hips my chest and my head like completely chronically aligned and stacked on top of each other and what I was doing as I was using the vu to to do all that so I was using sanava which is the balancing inward drawing energy uh to align the hips and what I did is I exhaled into that point which you'll find in my book that's a bit of a long story to do here but anyway exhaling into that point and it's like my hips just stacked over my feet and then I took another few gentle UI breaths and then I exhaled into the pravi point which is just at the sternum and then my chest seemed to sort of like align itself over my hips then I took another couple of breaths gentle UI breaths and then I exhaled into the Donna point which is this throat area which is the creative force and it's like my next slightly lengthened and my head just balanced itself over these other parts of my body and as I stood there it felt like I was suspended in space and what I mean by that is that there was no gravitational imbalances like nothing pulling me out forwards nothing pulling me back my whole body was at so much peace and all that was literally done by just standing and waiting and exploring and listening to the messages of the Vu and how the Vu and the energy of the vus actually realigns the body so it's not something that you actually do intellectually it's something that the breath assists you to do is to be completely aligned over your feet with no effort whatsoever it's revolutionary
