Somatic Experiencing is rooted in biological survival physiology which itself is backed up by the latests research and understanding in the field of neuroscience, biology and psychology. It is well documented, and has been my professional experience, that treatment leaves clients feeling more alive, more in control of their futures, more resilient in the face of new stressors and importantly no longer haunted by the emotional scars of their trauma.

*Please note* Please keep your comments to the topic of SE and trauma treatment. I will be deleting any new comments about animals experiencing PTSD because this has been addressed at great length in other comments. Please read those already there and if you have anything to add that hasn't already been said, you can do that within those existing comments.
