Common Foot Issues

Yoga for Foot Strength

1. Toe Yoga

Spread all toes wide. Lift only big toes (others down). Then lift only small toes. Alternate. Practice daily.

2. Arch Lifts

Standing or seated, keep toes flat as you draw arch up. Hold 5 seconds. Release. Repeat 15 times.

3. Toe Grips

Place towel on floor. Scrunch toes to gather towel toward you. Spread and repeat. 2 minutes each foot.

4. Marble Pickups

Pick up marbles with toes, transfer to bowl. 20 reps each foot.

5. Ball Rolling

Roll tennis ball or golf ball under foot - arch, heel, ball of foot. 2 minutes each foot.

Yoga Poses for Feet

Mountain Pose (Tadasana) Foundation

Toes Pose (Vajrasana Variation)

Tuck toes under, sit back on heels. Intense stretch for toe flexors and plantar fascia. Hold 30 sec-2 min.

Downward Dog

Actively press through all fingers of feet. Alternate pedaling heels.

Tree Pose

Balance work strengthens foot stabilizers.

Hero Pose (Virasana)

Stretches top of feet and ankles.

🦶 Calf stretches at wall (30 sec, 3x daily)

🦶 Frozen water bottle roll under foot

🦶 Toe stretches before getting out of bed

🦶 Night splints for severe cases

Daily Foot Care

👣 Go barefoot when safe (builds strength)

👟 Choose supportive, wide toe box shoes

💆 Self-massage regularly

🧊 Ice if inflamed

☀️ Warm up before intense activity
