Transcript

hi I'm Siri Peterson and this is the perfect posture with cracker I will be showing you supported soup to baddha konasana or reclining goddess pose this is the perfect prenatal pose on those days where you just need a little extra support for this pose it will be great to have two bolsters and two blocks if you don't have those you can substitute with couch cushions or firm pillows and books you'll also need a blanket let's begin so I'm going to place my blocks with one a little bit higher than the other I'm going to take the bolster and place that on top of the block so that I'm creating a little angle here for myself as I come into the position I'm gonna snuggle my low back right up into the bolster so that my low back is completely and totally supported you can take one blanket fold it and if it feels good to you you'll place it behind you and adjust it when you lie down the other blanket you'll want to take wide this is probably about three feet wide and I'm gonna roll it up tightly so as I come into position I take the soles of my feet together I lift my knees up a little bit and this blanket will come over the tops of my ankles and in under my shins so that when I rest my legs out they're actually held by the blanket adjust your back bolster just a little bit and come to lay down you want to take a little time here just to make sure that you're really comfortable that you have all of the support you need you might need something extra underneath your legs or you might want to take your bolster and angle it up a little bit by adding another block or tilting the block up a notch take a moment to draw your shoulder blades more behind your back so that your chest feels open let your hips settle and then you're actually going to take the flesh and widen it so that your pelvic floor is tilting a little more down instead of tucking your tail under and flattening your lower back which won't be good for the prenatal sequence widening the flesh and just creating a gentle natural curve in the lower back open up your arms and take a few deep breaths [Applause] [Applause] [Applause]
