Poses

Reclined Goddess

Restorative · beginner

How to

  1. Begin by lying on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
  2. Bring the soles of your feet together and allow your knees to gently fall open to the sides, forming a diamond shape with your legs.
  3. Place your arms at a comfortable angle alongside your body, palms facing up to open the chest.
  4. If needed, place a bolster or folded blanket under each knee for support to prevent overstretching.
  5. Close your eyes and bring your awareness to your breath, allowing it to be natural and steady.
  6. Maintain a soft gaze at the space between your eyebrows if eyes remain open.
  7. To exit the pose, use your hands to gently guide your knees back together, roll to one side, and press yourself up to a seated position.
