Wind Removing Pose

Pavanamuktasana

Supine · beginner

How to

  1. Begin by lying flat on your back on a yoga mat, with your legs extended and arms resting alongside your body.
  2. Inhale deeply, then as you exhale, bend your right knee and draw it towards your chest, interlacing your fingers just below the knee.
  3. Keep your left leg extended on the mat, pressing the back of the left thigh down to maintain engagement.
  4. Flex both feet to activate the legs and keep the toes pointing upwards.
  5. Gently pull the right knee closer to your chest with each exhalation, ensuring your shoulders and head remain relaxed on the mat.
  6. Focus your gaze softly towards your belly or keep your eyes closed for an inward focus.
  7. Hold the pose for 5-10 breaths, maintaining smooth and steady breathing.
  8. Release the right leg back to the mat on an exhalation, and repeat the process with the left leg.
