Yoga Pose Tutorial: Supported Bridge using a Yoga Block with Christel Wellness Yoga

Using another of my favourite yoga accessories the yoga block I'll show you how to use it to enhance your bridge pose. Setu Bandha Sarvāṅgāsana Shoulder supported bridge or simply Bridge, also called Setu Bandhāsana, is an inverted back-bending asana in hatha yoga and modern yoga as exercise. By using the yoga block you can relax more deeply into this asana or yoga pose.

how to use your block in bridge pose when you use your block it allows you to relax more into the pose and therefore benefits more of the back bend so let's get into it roll onto your bike make sure you can scrape the heels of your feet with your fingers try to tell bonanda push the feet left the hips as if you're coming into Bridge grab hold of your block and now place it on the height that feels right for you so it could be the lowest the medium or the highest so really connect with your body to find out which one feels right for you make sure it is placed on the tailbone the very end part of your spine so you can fully relax into it push the feet lift the hips higher get it out of the way very slowly release the spine on the mat one that's about to time and then move on to one side and come back into set it
