all of a sudden it felt like i woke up allowing my steps to follow the rhythm of my breath i walked from my mind right into my body thoughts lost their control on me aware of all the physical sensations my heart beating gently in my chest i realized i could feel the tree's presence the grass looked greener and the sunlight was a lot brighter everything got clearer more colorful and engaging i felt at peace and happy there was no yesterday nor tomorrow i felt completely present in the moment this experience was so powerful i knew i wanted to share this with others walking has always been a way for me to escape from moments of unease stress anger and sadness you know these moments that there is no end to this unstoppable stream of thoughts you feel stress rushing through your body or are overwhelmed by painful and negative emotions what do you do in these moments how do you escape i now experience that it was not only an escape from the unpleasant it was something that allowed me to be whole in touch with my thoughts emotions and my external circumstances to completely accept all there is in that very moment the good the bad the beautiful and the ugly once i accepted the moment the situation would effortly change into a feeling of wholeness in touch with my well-being how often do i do a walking meditation once a week i go for a walk in nature i love the silence the songs of the birds the smell of rosemary and to recharge my energy levels through the soles of my feet but also every day i take a few minutes to effortlessly connect to my well-being when i walk to my car if i do groceries walk to the coffee machine in my office this is exactly the reason why i love it it's simple and effortless i can do it everywhere and it's a powerful tool that has a positive impact on simple moments in my life every single day walking meditation guides you to be receptive and accepting of the present moment because that's where your well-being is once you know how this natural state of well-being feels you can connect to it any place anytime whatever you're doing and now it's your turn close your eyes and bring your attention to the present notice how the soles of your feet touch the ground your weight traveling down relax your shoulders your neck and bring your head in one straight line with your spine now bring your attention to your breath don't change it just simply observe where do you notice the movement of your breath in your nose jaws throat shoulders chest belly anything that arises thoughts sensations and observations allow them to be now open your eyes what happens to your breath does this rhythm change do you notice it in another part of your body now start moving let your feet follow the rhythm of your breath and scan with your attention through your body noticing anything that arises and now you're ready for a brief walk with attention allowing everything as it is exploring with fresh curiosity completely in contact with your well-being enjoy
