Begin by placing a chair against a wall for stability.
Sit sideways on the floor next to the chair, with knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
Gently lie down on your back, using your hands to support yourself, and swing your legs up onto the seat of the chair.
Adjust your position so that your hips are a few inches away from the chair, and your lower legs rest comfortably on the seat. Ensure your knees are at a 90-degree angle.
Place your arms out to the sides, palms facing up, allowing your shoulders to relax.
Close your eyes and bring your awareness to your breath, taking slow, deep inhales and exhales.
Maintain a soft gaze, or drishti, towards the ceiling if your eyes are open.
To exit the pose, gently roll to one side and use your hands to help yourself back to a seated position.
