Poses

Reclined Bound Angle (rest)

Supta Baddha Konasana (rest)

Restorative · beginner

How to

  1. Begin by sitting on the mat with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
  2. Slowly lower your back onto the mat, keeping your knees bent and feet close to your hips.
  3. Bring the soles of your feet together and allow your knees to gently open out to the sides, forming a diamond shape with your legs.
  4. Place folded blankets or cushions under each knee for support if needed, ensuring comfort and relaxation in the hips.
  5. Rest your arms alongside your body, palms facing up, or place one hand on your heart and the other on your belly to deepen the connection with your breath.
  6. Close your eyes and bring your awareness to your natural breath, allowing it to become deeper and more relaxed with each exhale.
  7. To exit the pose, gently use your hands to bring your knees back together, roll to one side, and slowly push yourself up to a seated position.
