How to

  1. Begin in Tadasana (Mountain Pose) with feet hip-width apart, arms by your sides.
  2. Shift your weight onto your left foot, engaging your left thigh and glute for stability.
  3. Inhale, extend your arms overhead by your ears, biceps close to your ears, palms facing each other.
  4. Exhale, hinge at your hips, keeping your spine straight, and lift your right leg behind you, keeping the toes pointing towards the ground.
  5. Ensure your body forms a straight line from fingertips to your lifted heel; engage your core to maintain balance.
  6. Keep your gaze (drishti) slightly forward and down to maintain balance and alignment.
  7. Hold the pose for 3-5 breaths, maintaining even breathing and focus.
  8. To exit, slowly bring your right foot down next to your left, returning to Tadasana with control.
