Let’s learn Balasana aka Shashankasana or Child’s Pose. The name comes from the fact that this pose resembles a child in a resting position. This pose is super easy but helps greatly in letting go of stress, worries, anxiety & fatigue. Contra-indications: ⚠️ If you have slipped disc or knee injury then you should avoid doing this asana. Benefits: ✨ It has a relaxing effect which helps reduce stress. ✨ It helps stretch the back, shoulders & arms muscles if you spread your arms in front. Other variations of this asana: 🧘♀️ Keep your knees together. (not for pregnant women) 🧘♀️ Don’t spread your arms in front, let them rest next to your body or hold them together at the back. (useful in case of shoulder pain) 🧘♀️ Use a block or bolster to rest your forehead.
