[Music] the word mantra means mind instrument it's a tool of the mind and it's a tool for mental focus and the technique is basically rep repeating a phrase slowly and then you can give yourself the opportunity to stop repeating the phrase um and then when you get distracted you come back to the phrase as a source of anchor to anchor the mind and again as the mind instrument to stay focused and the point of doing a mantra meditation is to calm the mind so um the technique is just sitting and and if you feel comfortable with closing the eyes you can close the eyes i always recommend people pick a mantra that's comforting to them i mean personally i like to say i am whole i am whole mentally quietly as i'm working with meditation but if that doesn't speak to you you could even say one word [Music]
