Ear Pressure Pose

Karnapidasana

Inversion · advanced

How to

  1. Begin lying on your back with your legs extended and arms by your sides. Take a few deep breaths to center yourself.
  2. On an inhale, lift your legs overhead into Halasana (Plow Pose), bringing your toes to touch the floor behind your head. Keep your legs straight and your arms flat on the ground, palms down.
  3. Adjust your shoulders to ensure they're tucked under, allowing your heart to open and your neck to be free of strain.
  4. Exhale as you bend your knees, lowering them gently towards your ears. Allow your knees to rest against the sides of your head if accessible, or keep them slightly elevated if necessary.
  5. Place your arms on the floor, either extending them out straight or bending at the elbows with hands supporting your lower back for added stability.
  6. Maintain a soft, natural breath throughout the pose. Focus your gaze inwards or towards your navel, calming the mind.
  7. To exit, gently lift your legs back into Halasana, then slowly lower your spine vertebra by vertebra with control until you return to lying flat on your back.
