foreign [Music] understand the health benefits about putting your legs up on a wall when you're laying in your bed next to your bed on the floor you are going to be shot putting your legs up on the wall has so many health benefits when it comes to your circulation your digestion your relaxation and there's no doubt that after a long day you want that deep relaxation you want that stress relief you want to get rid of that anxiety you want to wind your body down lower your cortisol levels your adrenaline your norepinephrine and just feel your body again and that position will take so much stress off your lower back it will open up the vertebrae where the nerves come out of it would take irritation off those nerve roots to give you relief in your lower back your buttocks as well as down your legs and this pose will help promote lymph flow it will improve circulation and will help those varicose veins drain back to the heart and they will do wonders for those tired and aching muscles in your legs as it will drain tension and soothe your calves and feet and this legs up on the wall pose helps to gently stretch and relax sex muscles in your neck shoulders and back while improving circulation and blood flow to your head and it will do wonders for your digestive tract as all the blood is making its way into that area it's great for bloating it's great for cramping it's great for PMS and this will improve your sleep as you breathe from the diaphragm this will kick up your parasympathetic nervous system the rest and digest as anxiety stress as well as your heart rate and blood pressure will all be lowered and when you're on your back you have an option to put a small little pillow underneath your lower back if it's more comfortable get as close as you can to the wall if you're not directly up against it it's okay because legs up the wall pose will instantaneously start to relax your mind and body it will increase your circulation soothe your muscle cramps stretch your hamstring and glutes relieve lower back tension ease headaches and migraines improve digestion improve your sleep as well as quieting the Mind by doing absolutely nothing by laying in this comfortable position utilizing this pose anywhere from five minutes to 20 minutes is extremely beneficial everyone will be able to do a different time according to what they can withstand some people who have real tight hamstrings may have a hard time extending their legs do your best I promise you as you continue to do this you will reap the benefits so share this with a friend or a loved one you will be doing them a great favor leave your comments below and most important make it a great day I'm Dr Alan Mandel [Music] [Music]
