are you avoidant in your relationship I'm Dr Julie and here's my top four signs of an avoidant attachment style in adult relationships number four when your partner seeks intimacy with you the barriers go up and the more they try to get close the more you pull back number three you hold back on starting new relationships because it's so hard to trust people number two you sometimes end relationships to gain a sense of freedom and number one you keep your partner emotionally at arm's length because it feels safer but they often accuse you of being distant
