hey Yogi's I'm Caitlin Turner also known as gypsy goddess on Instagram and today I'm gonna take you through a sequence that a lot of you are probably pretty familiar with Sun Salutation B and whether you've practiced this one time or a million times it's a beautiful foundational sequence to revisit because this is where we draw so much of our power and our fire to fuel the rest of our practice so let's practice our breathing in this basic sequence and really take it to a new level before we do to a low yoga's YouTube channel for more videos like this one and please do leave me comments in the comment section because I love your feedback and I'd love to hear what you think of this fast so now let's jump in so we'll start standing at the top of your mat in Tadasana take a nice big inhale and exhale before we jump in on your inhale you're gonna sit down nice and deep coming into your chair pose but sit slow knees squeezed together weight in the heels arms up exhale forward fold inhale half-lift long spine hands on your mat you can walk or jump your feet back and exhale chaturanga inhale upward dog and exhale it back downward dog this is the part where it gets a bit tricky we're not hanging out here straight from that exhale we step the right foot forward and inhale warrior one again not hanging out hands go straight down your exhale takes you to chaturanga inhale upward dog exhale downward dog straight into the next inhale left foot steps forward flatten your back foot inhale warrior one and riding your breath hands to your mat step it back exhale chaturanga inhale upward dog exhale it back downward dog with your breath still exhaled you're gonna walk or jump your feet to the top of your mat and inhale half-lift long spine exhale fold sit your hips down nice and low once again inhale arms up chair pose and exhale takes you back to standing finding yourself where we started so that first one we took a little bit slow because I just wanted to make sure that you understand all of the movements and the accompanying breath cues but the key to Sun Salutation B is actually to begin building fire in our practice so our Sun Salutation a kind of helps warm us up wake us up get us going and then Sun Salutation B helps us build the fire and a huge part of that is proper breathing so now let's build some fire and try it again a little bit faster than we did starting in Tadasana inhale chair nice long breaths exhale fold inhale half-lift exhale takes you to chaturanga inhale upward dog exhale downward dog you're next inhale takes you up to right side warrior one riding your breath exhale takes you down to chaturanga inhale updog exhale it back downward dog straight through with your next inhale warrior one left side only one moment here and ride your breath exhale chaturanga inhale upward dog exhale it back downward dog riding your breath to the top you'll inhale half-lift exhale bow sit your hips low inhale chair and exhale Tadasana in my practice I generally like to start with about 5 Sun Salutation A's and 5 Sun Salutation B's so if you want to join me in doing five and five in your next practice I fully encourage that for more tutorials like this one be sure to to allowe yoga's youtube channel and thanks for tuning in and practicing with me today you
