Transcript

[Music] hey you guys this is Michelle Goldstein your heart alchemy yoga on YouTube and today my friend Lisa Gaines Lee is going to teach us a quick yoga flow to boost your immunity and help heal your lymphatic system so let's go ahead and get started thanks for having me yeah so as we learned hopefully you got to watch one of our other videos you learned where your lymph nodes are located your the majority of them are in your neck your armpit your abdomen and your inguinal --zz as most of you know who've done yoga before you know that every yoga pose is going to help boost your immunity in your lymphatic system today we're going to do a short sequence to really pay attention to those specific areas so are you ready to begin yes all right let's do it so inhale shrug your shoulders up to your ears stimulate the right and left thumb Phatak ducks exhale draw the shoulders back and one more time inhale and exhale shoulders down take your right ear to your right shoulder and then inhale bring it back up exhale other side inhaling coming up bring your chin to your chest we're stimulating again right left lymphatic duct and then lift your chin looking up and back same thing tucking chin to shoulder inhale lifting huh great exhale back to Center just a few neck rolls make sure it's comfortable for your body working on those lymph nodes at the neck make sure you reverse your circles and then come back to Center my favorite pose for the lymphatic system Lions breath right so bend your knees hands on your legs take a deep breath in stick your tongue out one more time inhale egg so great Lions breath then we're gonna move into poses for your axillary nodes into the armpit so inhale draw the arms out and up interlace your hands and extend them up exhale over to the left side reach inhaling back to Center exhale take your hands the other way good and I'll bring your arms up exhale release them and bring them interlace them behind your back knockos extended towards the floor again we are stimulating the axillary nose in your armpit giving the shoulder blades a big squeeze exhale release and then bring your arm up to the ceiling and then give it a gentle squeeze behind you if you want to stay here otherwise you can take your hand behind your back and then just bring your elbow down a little and then raise it up exhale elbow comes down inhale good one more time and release switching sides nice flowing arms reaching it up and back elbow comes down inhaling up again this whole area rich with lymphatic flow that we are moving and stimulating just with the movement of our arms one more time lift and release down interlace your hands behind your back separate your feet either hip width for more and fold forward forward folds are great for your lymphatic system because all of the fluid gets to move back up towards your heart forward folds are fantastic to help move lymphatic congestion out of your body take another deep breath in and then slowly release palm back up and then take a nice wide stance for your warrior pose so the things I love about warrior poses as you take warrior 2 you'll warm up first with your Sun salutes because I know this community knows how to warm up with Sun salute you can take a reverse warrior this stance helps increase the lymphatic flow in your inguinal right at your thigh exhale elbow to thigh arm up and over back same thing second side bring your feet in switching sides to warrior two and reversing your arms elbow to thigh terrific all those poses great for your lower legs coming back up interlace your hands behind your back nice wide stance exhale fold forward Michelle's a great demo look how far it doesn't matter how far you get but again your legs are strong your heart is down all of that blood flow and lymph flow gets to return to your bloodstream one more deep breath and then slowly come on up and heel toe your feet a little closer together the last pose I love for the inguinal nodes is mallanna squatting down using your elbows to push the knees away from you if you need to put your heels on a blanket that's fine pulling your chest out of your lower back take a deep breath into the belly deep diaphragmatic breath that will help move your limbs exhaling folding forward and then lying down onto your back for some twists twists are great also to stimulate diaphragmatic movement hug your knees into your chest and just take both knees over to one side arm extends beautiful really opening the whole chest squeezing in the abdomen to help push that flu it up into your heart bring the knees in and switching sides great nice deep breath here and then the last two segments I want to show you for your lymphatic system one is a backbend take bridge just a simple bridge your feet are about hip-width distance apart the hips lift we are also stimulating the next emulating the armpit relaxing the ab opening the inguinal x' backbend is also going to flush the fluid back through your body deep inhale and exhale terrific the other yoga sequence that is so wonderful for your lymphatic system are inversions right we're taking all of the food from your legs and bringing it back down today we're going to show you the pre to karate legs up the wall but instead of a wall you can just put your feet on a chair I also like to use a little blanket to make your head comfortable if you don't have a chair you can also imagine your chair as a wall imagine you're at the backdrop of a wall so all the fluid from your legs drains to your inguinal through the abdomen up the thoracic duct back to your heart some people prefer to keep their legs on a chair much more comfortable supportive close your eyes take a deep breath in exhale this these inversions these restorative poses are fantastic to help bring the body down to its parasympathetic system again what healing can occur thank you so much for having me oh my god thank you for being here you guys you subscribed to hurt alchemy yoga if you haven't already and like and share the videos and check out Lisa's website the description it's in the description the website and I hope you have fantastic lymphatic health for the rest of your life yeah thanks for coming up and tuning in [Music] [Music] you [Music]
