How to
- Begin in a kneeling position with knees slightly apart and toes touching.
- Place your hands on the floor with fingers pointing back towards your knees, keeping the elbows bent.
- Lean forward, bringing the elbows into the abdomen, just above the navel. Engage your core muscles to protect the lower back.
- Extend your legs straight back, keeping them close together and parallel to the ground.
- Shift your weight forward, lifting your feet off the ground as you balance on your hands. Maintain a steady breath.
- Keep your gaze (drishti) forward or slightly ahead on the ground to maintain balance.
- Hold the position for a few breaths, focusing on the stability of your core and arms.
- To exit, slowly lower your feet back to the ground, bend your knees, and return to a kneeling position.
