Meditation for Beginners: half lotus pose (ardha padmasana) is the second of the cross-legged seats. This is a great option for yoga students who want to go deeper than easy pose (sukhasana) but aren't quite comfortable full lotus pose (padmasana).

a second way that you can sit for meditation and my personal favorite if it's available to you flexibility wise keep one leg folded in grab the outer edge of your other foot and pull your foot all the way to your belly from there turn that foot upside down so the sole is facing up and relax the knee to the floor the back of the leg is literally resting right on my bottom foot this as you may know is called half Lotus it's a beautiful way to meditate
