namaste so today we will be learning trikonasana so let's get started so to begin you need to take around three and a half feet distance between your feet a comfortable distance and turn your right foot out now the first checkpoint over here is that your heel and the mid of your another foot the back foot should be in one line so it is this okay and now first get that firmness at your feet now take your hands in t position palms facing in front and look towards your right palm keep looking at the palm and start traveling down to reach out to your ankle once you touch your ankle turn your head and look up towards your opposite palm be in this posture breathe normal now to look up you might feel a little strain of pain in your neck so you can look in front and keep your eye gaze fixed at a point now some corrections in this to reach out to the ankle if you can't if you don't have that openness of your hamstrings and the lateral muscles then you will tend to bend forward so the moment you bend forward the lateral stretch is lost so you need to bring your body in one plane it's okay if you can't touch the ankle it's fine just be in the posture and breathe breathing is the language of the practice of the body that is how it will understand what you're trying to do with it and slowly after a regular practice you will reach out till your ankle and to come back you look down and inhaling you come back up in the same way take your foot in and turn your palms and hands down [Music] step now what's that record asana is an excellent arson for stamina doing two three rounds of ricotta acid can accelerate ventilation in the clavicular region and it would strengthen the lower extremities this asana is a beautiful blend of two different bhavas veiragi and aishwarya the pores represent triangle when you are bending forward in this trikonasana automatically a sense of humility surrender comes in you opening of the chest before bending forward develops strength self-confidence and stamina yogis use the triangular formation in a meditative posture as it is said that this formation unifies the forces in nature while practicing krikonasana you have to maintain a complete focus this would aid in promoting a peaceful and balanced mind stretching and opening of muscles enhances the respiratory capacity and spinal flexibility regular practice of trikonasana helps in toning the abdominal wall and waste muscles it corrects the faulty postural habits also it has a beneficial effect on back hips and hamstring muscles so keep practicing this asana and you will see immense benefit in physical and mental health namaskar
