my name's aladdin cavalia and i want to talk to you about how to market yourself as a yoga teacher so you can be successful and create more impact in the world for most of us as yoga professionals we are here for the yoga it is usually a big leap for people to think oh my gosh i'm ready to market myself in fact in my experience most yoga people shy away from marketing or sales or really business of any kind however as a yoga teacher whether you like it or not you are a small business owner and as a small business owner it's really important that you learn how to effectively market you and your skills so that people can take part in them how are we ever going to change the lives of the people that we work with unless they know about us know our work know who we are and that is marketing i give you more marketing tips and how to build your business in a previous video with my four top tips on building your yoga business so you haven't seen that make sure you check it out but right here today i want to give you a bit of a shift in perspective and give you something really powerful you can do in order to market yourself effectively as a yoga teacher the biggest shift in perspective i can offer is that instead of thinking of it as marketing yourself really what we want to do is simply share with people how much impact we can make you and i both know the power of this practice you and i both know how much yoga has absolutely changed our lives how it's made it better how we're able to handle life better stress levels drop we have physical benefits from yoga talking about all of those things is easy if you can share with people all of the extraordinary benefits that you've reaped from the practice it's likely that they're going to want to take part in those two and since you happen to be standing in front of them maybe they should try your class or your workshop if we don't tell people what it is that we're offering they'll never know so as you share wholeheartedly the benefits of yoga practice which we all love and believe in it is then easy to say oh and i have a workshop this saturday or two or i have a weekly class happening or join me in my online community remember just share the benefits of the practice that's the heart of any marketing for a spiritual professional and it's going to really turn around the way that you think about and the way that you actually help people to find your work to find what you do so utilize that shift in perspective remember share what is just the best about yoga and then invite them to whatever it is that you have next now remember for my four top tips on how to grow your yoga business go check out my previous video and in the meantime down below i'm going to leave a link to a social media guide for yogi's because one of the best ways that you can share the benefits of yoga how positive it transforms your life and all the things that you offer is on social media social media for us as yoga professionals is the great neutralizing ground where we can connect directly with our students and people who love the work that we do so building up your social media profile is really important in this modern day world as a yoga teacher so hopefully i've given you a good shift in perspective around marketing as a yoga teacher and don't forget to watch that other video that's going to help you grow your business as a yoga professional so you can make more impact in the world [Music]
