Transcript

hey y'all Nico here welcome back to my channel and if you're new here thanks for joining me I'm Nico today's video is another yoga pose tutorial where I give you tips on how to get into different yoga poses and today we are doing halasana or plow pose so let's go ahead and get started on our back I love plow pose because it's really great for stretching this top neck area in the back of my neck sometimes it feels like it's hard to get into these areas but plow definitely helps to get up into the shoulders up into the neck and it's also an inversion so it can kind of bring that fresh blood down towards your brain and get your circulatory system going so let's go ahead and get started on our back and we want to kind of start in a shoulder stand by bringing our hips above our shoulders so start to lift the hips off the ground you can kind of use your hands as this support underneath the hips and again trying to lift the hips so that the shoulders are kind of over the hips are over the shoulders so we'll Flex our feet and start to let the feet fall behind us bringing the toes to the ground let the legs be together and gently let those toes fall behind you so I like to kind of try to press into my hips to make sure they're over my shoulders your chin is naturally going to be tucked down towards your chest so you don't need to do anything extra there and pull your belly button back think about that active belly pull your belly button back towards your spine to protect your back and to engage the ABS good inhale exhale I like to just gently roll down and we can kind of hug our knees into our chest now if you're not ready for full plow poles you can always be in shoulder stand which is just the legs extended up you can also move into a bridge pose say to Banda sarvin gasana which looks like this you can also do legs up the wall these are kind of legs up the wall is literally just our legs extended and resting against the wall or you can just bring your feet up with your feet flexed if you're trying to still get some of those benefits of plow pose but maybe you're not quite ready for plow poles or shoulder stand those are a few good modifications so leave a comment down below letting me know if this video helped you get an understanding of how to get into plow poles don't forget to like share and and as always thank you for watching peace and love
