it's me and today I want to be something a little bit different with you so instead of taking through a practice what I actually want to do is show you how you can do yoga at home without having to get any fancy props or any or invest in like any other things and stuff that you might usually see a yoga studio you can do you know about with totally ordinary pops that you have in your own home and I'm doing this because what I hear a lot from people who watch this channel is I really like to know about but then there are times when if you need us to swap or link it or a strap I don't have any of that and so I feel like I have to stop and what do I do if I don't have those props and the truth is is as awesome as these props are these fins blocks and blankets and the belts as awesome as they are you only need them right you can get creative with things that you have in your own home right now that are just as easy to use when we're convenient and maybe even worth active so that's what I'm going to show you how to do today the cool thing is is that what it does is it makes you about a little bit more transportable for you you can really take it anywhere and don't have to travel with as much so that's also a really big benefit and I will say one thing before we get started if there is any prop that you're going to invest legit money in I would invest in a really good yoga mat okay like if you are getting serious about you know get your committed to yoga get your own yoga mat especially if you're going to be doing student now you don't know how to use other people's mats other people with my bare feet on their hands on and like spin on and straight on and licked me who knows people do people do weird stuff sometimes so but also you know like if you're going to be trained to go more often it's nice to have a yoga mat at home that you can use if you can you know do your downward-facing dog on every single day and know that this is going to be your mat right this is going to be you know the mat that will will support you always right and you want to get one it's going to last so make sure you get a good map that lasts long other you're not you don't believe even fancy props if I'm to show you how and why so first things first the yoga block now I'm definitely over blocks they're pretty they're pink they're fun they're sassy they're very lightweight but really easy to use and fit them in my hands it's super convenient okay I love and I use them a lot and I use them imposes sometimes like which comes forward mend is my hammies are feeling tight and I want to bring this floor to me right and it just feels like it's too far before you can use them and Louis's like triangle great to bring the floor to you or side angle there's so many bosoms that that you can use box and you can use them anywhere prevent any standing forward bend but we also tend to use them in a lot of seated poses and supine pulses so you might use them influences like your asana or here is close to sim you might use them in bridge pose right as your guru a way to prop yourself up support a bridge those are going to become super nice and steady fantastic she might be stuck here and you might use them in other ways to support you maybe even underneath your knees plenty lying on your back okay so lots of ways that he might get up close and personal winter door locks on a regular basis even rain abdominal work okay so another really good one pull off between your feet you might do this stuff oh yeah I'm working my abs with my own block and this is wonderful and it is your love is great but it's not the only way okay so my personal favorite I don't know colopsis reusable water else so how does these okay we have I definitely have this six in constant rotation we're always taking our reusable water bottles pretty much everywhere so I have extras minor on too so when my little blocks aren't convenient I can just use my water bottles to reach to the floor these are particularly good if your hamstrings are tighter if you're tired you notice they have these handles to see you can hold on to the handles super convenient you can do the same thing and triangle pose and it's like they just hold on to the scandal and reach up I think you something that same parcel two knots another pyramid pose that forward bend over my front leg and I can use them in any standing pose really to bring the floor more to me right that's what these are really good for okay if to bring the floor up it's not something a whole bunch you know even in the back legs like camel pose but I can't quite get to my feet shut up about these and just swing them back behind me awesome okay however as phenomenal as waterfalls are for swapping out for your blocks they don't work for everything right if you can't really put your sacrum on that you can't remember the ball so for the poses that you need to sit on a block you can get both these happen to be Wizard of Oz books we are making that what's your cost to my job right now my parents whether those are positive as well so we're continuing the tradition and if you want to get looks much like the the water bubbles are about the same size as the first name of a tracker I'll show the quickly water bottle block or about the same height you want to try to find similar width as you can see I strap this on top these ones are a little bit more narrow then your average walk and I stack them on top so you create a potential it might have been quieter this is just what I happen to have on my bookshelf this room but they work really well if it wants to not because they are just about the right with the chef that business up that's nice we just sittin up I'll let me carry the seats my shirt so I'm a little bit just hip enough on these props are these books rather you can also use this underneath your sacrum and it post like bridge pose so you can spot committed really well they're not quite as hard like the blocks that they work in the exact same way and as a bonus lift up and slide them underneath my sacrum just like I would encourage oh yeah that's so nice it's the exact same thing and they're adjustable more so than the blocks so if we want this to be able to hire I can add another book that can't be if I want to be lower the continue to you thought was oh yeah that's way better oh my goodness I love that so much more okay so these work really well for that a little bit later I'll show you how you can use these in sorted with some of the other crops Peter back here but you can also use them in your C composes and you want them to be the same height but if you have funky knee-deep you can prop up your side these books make your dream generation shops and up forward them anything like that or anybody else in I found a book seemingly just put those books underneath trees alright comp your knees so these folks work really really well for using them in the same way even for blocks if you're using the block for stability and what I mean by stability is to putting body weight on them if you're sitting on them to putting your back on them I give up a lot okay so those are books now if you're doing something else that comes on board check out this cool truck that's my son's truck okay it's awesome it's really lightweight alright I can toss it or not that's fantastic I can also use it for a little bit between my feet for real basic check it you're gonna love this okay so it balls work really well for this like so I have some of those to unite some kids you know so like a big heavy Tonka truck maybe not so much that pisses me off recyclable plastic so this works really well the walls are pretty mulching my back and put truck between my feet over the truck down reach see so the truck works just as well fun right you could use pretty much anything in natheless anything that you can hold between your feet it's relatively lightweight they're not the same width has a look okay so truck water bottles books really great for I'm not flying in your practice if you don't have your blocks now another thing that comes up is being yoga belt or strap I love the yoga strap it's really great for using on your foot in supine hoses right like you can use the belt to extend your leg take it out to the side take it across all of that good stuff you can also use it standing in the same way right if your foot here and take it out to the side okay lots of ways to use the belt you can also use the belt for overhead stretching your shoulders just getting yourself a little bit more shoulder mobility or stretching you from side to side and some people use it for poses like gomukhasana which is that funky our musician list I'll show without the belly where your arms reach behind your back and you can use the belt you just dry up unhand your back to be chopped okay so a lot of ways to use the belt there are also more advanced ways to use the ballot like um you know if you're doing where events closes I'll do some ideas about that too but those are certain basic ways to use about now if you have an actual belt that it's not even about that's like your first stop right so this is a belt off the jacket might no longer omen it's not as long as the yoga belt which is totally fine it works really well so I put on my back again laughs on my foot press up take it out to the side take your cross you know they get into fun horse up to the right because it's nice and taut it's used to be used to kinda belt so it works in exactly the same way if you have you know like about any belt that you wear around your waist or toilets or the sparks anything that you don't want to make your feet on I also use things like this is just like a little I don't even know what to call it but it's like I need something that I put my arms and legs shrugs sort of that I just use for yoga check it out no I can use it here too okay now again this is kind of like I don't want to stretch it too much so it's something that I've only used it I felt really confident you see it and obviously anything that you don't let put your feet on this where they put but this bill works really well for that and you can use just any regular ballots you know it's nice and long that'll work that way but there are other cool things she can use like this awesome pearl necklace that I borrowed from my daughter so if you happen to have a necklace and you're doing from a customer you should draw off the necklace in your back grab onto the necklace hmm that's gonna start with you up see it's kind of perfect you know and it's nice and short so for things like Blue Cross about where you don't need quite as much about the necklace works really well okay and also might work really well if you're a little bit more mobile in your shoulders and they're working on poses like a dancer pose and this is just for fun right now I have to choose the necklace around your foot great dancer pose right there you just hold onto necklace again I need to me this is kind of like you know it's a costume jewelry right it's something that makes you in placement that she wears with tons of these like don't use your any girls who don't use family or group obviously but you know something like this that's you know got a lot of tension it's gonna work really well in particular for clothes like the opossum ever if you can't quite reach your ear house okay so pearl necklace felt really great ways to my hike you don't have a yellow strap but you can also if you want to get it venturous you got a groom you can do shoulder work I can do all kind of stuff here now the beautiful bit stiffer so it might not let me go quite far but it works just as well and it's pretty awesome yeah I love using the groom for things like this you can also use this machine in oppose this so here you know doing like seated in a corner you want to reach forward right let the broom works really well you even hook it over your foot this okay so the groom is really great for mock fighting for your bail in situations like that where you put the belt over your head so you can use the groom in in that way as well okay so remember you've got your group your costume jewelry and any little belts that you might have used and that will of my settle for a dealing strap don't have any money on the yoga strap and already happen to be home and the last thing that I want to talk about is the yoga blanket now I do love me to go blanket that's fantastic really like I love these Mexican copy my gifts they're the right stiffness but you're kind of thick they're sturdy they're really supportive but you don't really need to get okay there are a lot of ways to use like this the way that you tend to use blanket start to sit on right so instead of poses looking across ready to see the beginning okay those of you should ease like it you might use it to to prop your sturdy up so if your knees are sensitive the posts like camel close right in these you're sensitive or at lunge right you don't want to share me on the floor you some like it okay and you might use a blanket a lot of other situations - those are the primary ones or you might use it in her sort of pose okay so you might have a blanket on the floor and you buy back in your supportive right imagine they're blocks underneath menus don't imagine don't use your imagination I can actually create that I have them okay so we're sort of basic restore clothes okay this is what we tend to use blankets work so plank is a really fantastic the open leg is really fantastic what's your fantastic but you told me them okay you can use all kinds of things so he needs some panty bikini he's trying to husband is like bearish what's that he sweeps in and sometimes most wedding in Iraq them off our bed they're great people lunch okay my knee is totally supportive right oh if I want a little bit more cushion I can grab a towel so it's nice brighton beach towel in folded up gives me a little bit more cushion for camel lows okay so your ID channel it's wonderful there's luncheon it's really great maybe is happy okay mm-hmm you can also use this same blanket to sit on so in any seated pose brake you find that your lower back is like already back it in and it's really uncomfortable you just sit on the little blanket and that will help lift you a little back in and up so now you can I support it that's wonderful okay so really really easy to modify there now if you're doing things like restorative poses you don't have everything you need right you don't have like all of the props you can use your paddles okay and you can use them a lot of different way it's not like a lot of times we'll do something like a rolls blanket underneath your knees to support your low back it now it might not be enough okay so what you can do is you can take your books for example you can take like three bucks three bucks just going on have anything bigger put this title over them or maybe put something underneath your knees huh yeah I mean I totally works okay you can also forget these books out of the way for the moment you can also these are a little bit highs a little bit more than I might be wrong but it seemed idea you put those underneath your knees blend up oh yeah that actually feels kind of interesting because it's exactly the right height okay so this feels really good just for supporting my knees my feet are only round the top of the bottle isn't really doing in fact an angel of my need so that's also pretty awesome okay but if you want to do something that like a more expensive or sort of close like soup / moster that's the one dimension of imparting in this you're going to take more than one so I have two blankets and this are two towels rather this one's a little bit sturdier and I'm gonna unfold it once just by going with and then I'm going to fold it up a little bit so there's slightly more support at the top this a little bit more support for my head and then I take my books put them underneath my knees and I would in general want more books than this but this will do for now you get the general idea my kind of supportive my back is supported maybe these are supported ah and not I go to pop a traditional yoga prop being used all books titles even water bottles here right later I could just give myself a little bit more height if the water bottles emerging not bad not bad for new applause right not bad for non that yoga props and things that you might use in ordinary everyday life so hopefully this has given you an idea how you can get really creative at home and not spend any extra money on turboprops that you don't need and instead make use of what you already have and enjoy your yoga practice and not you know feel like Yoga is putting you completely into - at least your tops maybe or other things but not for your crops so have fun getting creative with whatever you have at home I would love to see what you'd created I would love to see it so you can always you know like time you don't even like tag tag me and spread conscious ugly moments and you know use the hashtag like um unconventional yoga props and let me know what you've done I would love to see your really creative use your the cross that don't look like these I would love to hear what you think about this video
