Prana Vayu is the energy of intake and inspiration—the force that draws life inward through breath, sensation, and experience. 🌬️ Located in the heart and chest, Prana governs how we receive: oxygen, nourishment, connection, truth. When balanced, we feel awake, inspired, and aligned with purpose. When blocked, we may feel restless, unfulfilled, or like something essential is missing. 💛 This slow, steady flow uses lunge variations, chest and shoulder openers, and breath-led movement to awaken Prana in the upper body. A supportive practice if you’re seeking clarity, emotional openness, or a deeper connection to yourself. ✨ Style: Slow Flow ⏳ Duration: 37 minutes 🧘♀️ Level: Intermediate 🔥 Focus: Hips, core, backbends, breath 📍 Location: Formia, Italy
This class is from the the VU series, the movements of prana, the movements of energy. And today we're exploring pranavayou. And pranavayou governs the our intake, inspiration, and how we move forward. And it lives in our head as well as our chest. So we did a lot of a lot of movements with our arms to open up the chest and also to signify kind of the drawing in by bringing our hands to our solar plexus. How do we take in information? How do we take in the world around us? The legs stayed strong and rooted because I find for myself when I'm taking in the world around me, I need to be strongly anchored in myself. So we played with legs being pretty static and upper body moving a lot. I read from a wonderful quote that talked about how um prana vayou is is the relationship between our inner and outer world right how we receive things and how it affects us. So, I'm hoping that this practice leaves you feeling really strong in your body, anchored in yourself, and ready to receive the world. Enjoy. Namaste.
