Namaste yogis this is Amber Jean and we've had a lot of people writing and calling asking what is the rocket and what is the bottle rocket and we consider the rocket Ashtanga Yoga because we are following a sequence and we're studying ourselves through breath Bond and drishti all the rocket poses are asa's poses from ashang yoga series primary series 1 2 3 and Beyond once you get to more advanced handstand practice this is going to be a basic demo to get you going with the rocket practice after you do five Sun salutation A's and five Sun salutation B's you're going to go right into utkatasana and each pose is held for five breaths so today we're going to do four breaths to keep the the video um flowing and you can practice this at home and this is going to be a very basic bottle rocket so enjoy everybody you can pause here do your warm up and then press play katas five breaths Naval to spine exhale chest thighs utkatasana exhaling stepping into a bakasana arm balance jump to [Music] pushup inhale exhale downward right foot forward inhale into Warrior we're going to go through our basic standing poses Warrior V four breaths two more breaths inhale straight leg tonasa five breaths gaze down exhale step ponana gaze up pull your right hip back exhaling step back Verras B lean the side stretch inhale up Square your hips reach up exhale twisting around warm up shoulders right arm behind your back exhaling upward downward drop down to your knees exhale so we're going to add in the dolphin between the right and the left leg clasp your hands together inhale keep your head lifted measure make sure your elbows are underneath your shoulders clasp your hands together look at your thumbs head lifted feet together inhale right leg up switch feet come down and rest exhaling lift to a downward facing step your left foot forward inhaling ver vasana a hips Square so drag and pull your left hip back Warrior B pelv this naturally open straight leg inhale keep counting your breaths exhale slide to tonasa gaze up knle in exhale gaze down step in slightly to square your hips so we talk a lot about staying off the midline of your mat make sure your right foot is to the right exhale left arm up exhaling inhaling slide further back so you can lunge and reach very basic par inhale Square twist left arm behind you gaze down exhaling changa pushup upward [Music] downward practicing your forearm stand you can use the wall for round two so we're going to place our forearms down gaze between your arms or your thumbs fingers spread make sure that you can see all 10 fingers lift to a downward facing follow that up by walking back holding big toes and surrendering look up inhale roll up Twinkle Toes this is the Larry Schultz special lry Schultz is the creator of the rocket and we honor him twinkling our toes twinkling twinkling twinkling
