here's why lizard pose feel so good especially if you spend a lot of time sitting lizard pose stretches The Hip Flex and muscles these are the muscles that often get tight when we spend a lot of time sitting especially this one here the soaz muscle this is the muscle that tenses when we get stressed and this goes back to the days of when we would have been fighting or fleeing for our lives the soas muscle would have contracted to ready you to run or to fight nowadays our stresses aren't so life-threatening but the SE still has the same reaction to stress and this is why if you're spending a lot of time at your desk getting stressed out with spreadsheets or emails your soas muscle is constantly getting tight and tense this is why when we practice poses like lizard lunge that stretch the hip flexors and release residual tension it feels so good
