Transcript

Namaste everyone my name is Gabriel aula we're here in Tucson Arizona at the yoga flow Studios about to practice Yin Yoga you'll notice I'm in a comfortable sitting position the yin yoga practice is primarily designed to help us to sit in a meditation position more comfortably for a longer period of time in order to achieve that unlike regular yoga where we're muscling our postures working through each every aspect of flowing and reaching through in this environment in this class we're going to stay stable we're going to come into postures we're going to hold them 3 to five minutes for instance this is known as a butterfly posture rather than pulling my feet deep into my groin which forces my muscles of the legs to work my lower back muscles to work I'm going to allow my feet to move forward that relaxes through my inner thighs and when I come forward it actually allows the connective tissue the ligaments and tendons in the lower back into the sacrum to stretch ever so slowly I'm just going to round my back relax my head and we're just going to stay here and let gravity do the work and as you relax as you breathe as you create that intention for opening when you Rise Up 3 to five minutes later more blood circulation happens you feel taller your body is more comfortable to sitting up come join us we'll see you in a second
