This is a 15 minute yoga for sleep routine to help you rest better at night. Yoga is a great addition to your nightly routine especially if you suffer with insomnia. this 15 minute yoga class will aid in calming the body and an overactive mind. Often times when we hold physical or emotional stress we find ourselves having trouble sleeping. This physical and emotional stress lingers within the hips so the best way to let go and release any built up stagnant energy is to practice hip openers. Aside from hip openers we will also get a little bit into the chest which will help bring more oxygen into the body helping to release stress and anxiety aiding in insomnia relief. This is a beginners yoga class but of course not every pose will feel good for everyone no matter what level you are at in your practice so do utilize pillows when and where you need :)
This 15 minute yoga for sleep routine is part of my free "7 class beginners yoga for overall health series" and can be used consistently in any particular order.

As with all physical activity, Yoga included, it is important to listen to your body at all times and never exceed the sensation of just a light stretch. If you feel pain or extreme discomfort do not do the yoga pose, movement or stretch and come to something that feels better for you.
