Transcript

what happens when you do galavasana is people put their hands right here and then they go and they can't move so this is what I need you to do feel free to step off your mat if you can't see I need you to move your hands forward to about here and you'll notice your left heel will lift and you'll be in this weird No Man's Land I call it no man's land cuz it's like you're not here and you're not here and it's from this weird middle point that you want to bend the elbows and you want to hook this right foot powerfully around your arm get your bum up really high and tilt forward until the foot feels lighter so the foot hook and this weird No Man's Land that's the two things that I really want to get you guys to feel if the bottom foot doesn't lift I promise you I do not care but just getting into that funny position it's going to change everything ready let's go is this your foot Nina the the one that's super sore okay so Nina has got a bruise on the top of her foot so I'll start teaching while they practice that the other version so that's the the one knee so at the beginning of this class I said there was this guy who came to my class and he couldn't get his foot to hook around his arm so bless him he did galavasana like this he just had his knee on his arm and he tilted forward now that is super challenging but I liked his creativity with it he didn't have the flexibility yet but he just had the one knee on the arm and a version of the pose did appear out of his body which I thought was very inspiring
